A Voca Smile

A friend of mine posted this video on Facebook and it made me smile so I thought I'd share it with you. Not only is this brilliantly amusing but it's also really clever and the people must be incredibly talented in order to recreate songs as well as they do. The Israel based acapella and beat boxing group describe themselves as aliens who's only communication is sound; how wonderfully bizarre! Here are the Voca Poeple...enjoy :)

When You're Smilin'

I came across this brilliant band while catching up on last weeks Britian's Got Talent and not only did they bring a smile to face but they managed to make a very grumpy Simon Cowell smile too! Although on the show they performed a brilliant rendition of "The Monkey Song" from Disney's Jungle Book. I thought this song would be a little more appropriate especially for this blog. A High Contrast Smile

High Contrast

The picture above is non other than world class DJ High Contrast. Not only is he an amazing DJ and producer who's music I am a great fan of, but as you can see he has the most amazing hair! I was lucky enough to see him live last week and I have to say the urge to stroke his hair stroke was very overwhelming. I don't think the picture below really gives it justice, but it has to be said High Contrast's hair makes me smile. A lot. :)

Grin Like A Cheshire Cat

I was sent this YouTube video a few weeks ago by a friend when I wasn't feeling to cheery. This made me more than smile, it made me laugh out loud hysterically for about 5 minutes! I'm not usually a fan of cat videos but this one is actually very funny. I hope it makes you laugh too :)

A Skanky Smile

One particular artist that has been making me smile lately is Skanky and I've just come across another one of his amazing tunes, Ghost, that definitely me smile so I thought I'd share! Smile. It's Good For You!

Hello!! As my blog is dedicated to things that make me smile I thought I’d begin by sharing a few facts with you about smiling and how much smiling can make you happier and healthier.

1.       According to psychologists smiling can lift your mood from a bad one to a good one almost instantly. Smiling also relieves stress as scientists have shown that when you smile endorphins are released helping you feel better and less stressed.

2.       It is true when they say that smiling is contagious. In a study done in Sweden it was found that people found it very difficult to frown at someone who was smiling at them, rather they felt themselves automatically smiling back.  

3.       It is easier to smile than frown; smiling uses fewer muscles than frowning. Frowning a lot can also cause wrinkles as you get older.

4.       Smiling is good for your immune system as you are more relaxed and this contributes to good health in general.

5.       Smiling is one of the only universal signs of happiness. It is also the most recognisable facial expression and can be seen from up to 300 feet away!
